Eastern Evergreen Inc.

David Valyear

Eastern Evergreen is a family owned and operated business that was started in 1966 by my father, David Valyear. We are proud of our 40+ years supplying quality cedar trees for hedging and our staff, who have a combined 80 years of experience. Our customers include the nursery trade, landscaping contractors and residential home owners.

My father started this small business by scouring the country side looking for quality fields of healthy Ontario grown white cedar trees. His idea back then laid the groundwork for what we continue today, to not strip the fields but harvest them in an ecologically friendly manner, that enables the trees to continually replenish themselves and provide healthy quality product for you the end user. Since this beginning we have grown into a company that provides planting material for many environmental groups in the GTA. We also now supply evergreen boughs, wreaths, garlands and decorative branches, poles and trees – for the Christmas season.

We invite you to look at our Photo Gallery to see the many products and fencing alternatives we provide.

Our Goal

Mark Valyear, Owner

For 45 years our family has been supplying quality hedging cedars. It is our goal to have every customer feel this way:

Hi Mark,

This is to tell how pleased we are with the cedar privacy hedge that you planted for us in 2006.
It looks beautiful and reflects the quality of your trees and your installation work. The trees have proven to be strong and healthy and are growing exceptionally well.
Your post installation care instructions were easy to follow and we have not lost a single tree in spite of the hot and cold weather extremes over the last couple of years.
Thanks to you and your crew for a great job.
We are happy to be an Eastern Evergreen reference.
Regards,
Paul Becker
